What is a fire extinguisher box?
A fire extinguisher box is a weatherproof case that holds a portable extinguisher. It protects the unit from sun, rain, dust and tampering, while keeping it visible and quick to open in an emergency.
An extinguisher left in the open fades, rusts and gets moved or misused. A fire extinguisher box keeps it in one fixed, marked place, in good condition for the day it is needed.
Where to use a fire extinguisher box
- Outdoor areas: building exteriors, yards, terraces and rooftops.
- Parking: basement and open parking, where units can be knocked by vehicles.
- Corridors and staircases: in apartments, hotels, hospitals and schools.
- Fuel and generator areas: petrol pumps, DG sets and pump houses.
- Construction sites and factories: where dust and rough handling are common.
Mount the box at a height people can reach easily, near an exit or along an escape route, and keep the area in front of it clear.
Box or box with stand: how to choose
Our fire extinguisher box and cabinet comes in two versions:
Box: fixed to a wall or pillar. Best for corridors, staircases and building exteriors.
Box with stand: free-standing, so no wall is needed. Best for open parking, yards, fuel areas and sites where there is no wall near the risk.
Choose the box to match the extinguisher you will store in it. Most buildings use 4 kg to 9 kg portable units; see our ABC fire extinguisher range or our portable fire extinguisher guide. For indoor lobbies with glass or marble walls, a box with stand or a simple floor stand also works well.
Check each box during routine safety rounds: the door should open freely, the extinguisher should sit upright with its seal intact, and the sign above it should be clear. A clean, unlocked box means no delay when every second counts.

Every order comes with a GST invoice and pan-India delivery. Orders are dispatched in 1 to 2 working days, and anything that arrives damaged or with a manufacturing fault is replaced within 10 days of delivery.
