What a fire extinguisher refill does
- The factory seal is broken. The valve is opened and the cylinder emptied outside a controlled factory.
- The new agent is unknown. Refill powder or gas may not match the grade and dryness the unit was designed for.
- Seals and gauge are disturbed every time, a common cause of slow pressure loss.
- No pressure test. Most refilling services do not hydro-test or leak-test afterwards.
- No warranty on a refilled unit.
