"Metal fire extinguisher" can mean two things: an extinguisher for burning metals (Class D fires), or an extinguisher with a metal or stainless steel body. Here is the honest answer for both.

Fires in burning metals (Class D)
Metals like magnesium, titanium, sodium and aluminium powder burn very hot and can react with water and ordinary agents. They need a special Class D dry powder chosen for the specific metal. FireSpray does not currently make Class D extinguishers. If your site handles combustible metals, ask your safety consultant for a Class D unit matched to that metal.

Metal and stainless steel body extinguishers
All FireSpray extinguishers have metal cylinders. For kitchens, pharma, food plants, labs and coastal or corrosive areas, choose a stainless steel body: it resists rust and is easy to clean.
- Stainless steel ABC: 1–9 kg.
- Stainless steel clean agent: for electronics.
- Stainless steel K-type: for commercial kitchens.

Which fire extinguisher is used for metal fires?
